Apple Holds 25% Of The Worlds Flash Memory?


Apple will use 25% of the worlds flash memory.

As shocking as this sounds, it shouldn't be, because as Apple continues to blow the world away with iphones and ipods the flash memory market has to keep up with production.

DRAMeXchange, a market research company out of Taiwan that tracks the memory industry said that Apple will drive prices for the flash memory up due to demand. This means that if you're looking for Apple to price cut one of their products, it's not likely to happen. This also means that other companies looking to buy flash memory for their products may run into a shortage issue, due to Apple's hold on the market.

I'm sure that this can't be a good thing.
