With a story that I'm sure will shock that masses, Legendary Pictures chairman Thomas Tull has made it clear that World of WarCraft the movie is coming. In an effort to make a movie out of every video game that has sold well, Hollywood is going after one of the largest video game franchise. Tull said:
“We’re doing World of Warcraft, and making it into a movie, I have very strong feelings -- from the movie side -- that making movies based on games just because they sold well is a really bad idea. There’ve been some like that that weren’t up to snuff just out of the gate."
Ya Think?
You know that they're most likely going to butcher this thing, and turn a great game into something almost unrecognizable. I'm not trying to be negative here, it's just that the writers in Hollywood never translate a video game to movie very well. I'm not sure why, maybe because they are not gamers. I'm sitting here right now trying to think of one good video game movie that was good.
Someone? Anyone? Please help me?
