MSI Luxium Lets You Add an External Graphics Card to Your Notebook

If you're like me and have a laptop that has an integrated graphics card, you know how frustrating it can be with only having 128megs to work with and nothing you can do about it.

No longer!!!

Behold, MSI's Luxium is an enclosure that houses a x16 PCI Express graphics card, which you can then connect to your notebook via your lappie's ExpressCard slot. You'll have to connect the Luxium to its own power source, but in turn it lets you work with your favorite graphics card and offers USB and audio connectors. The Luxium just made its debut at Computex so there's no word yet on when it is due out.

I think this is a great solution for people who like to use lappies but don't want to compromise game performance.

Check it out after the jump. [TGDaily]

  1. Why wait for this product to launch and get all the bugs worked out when there's already the CinePort Express from CineMassive Displays. Its a PCI Express expansion slot system for your laptop that adds gpu's for quad monitor support from your laptop. Its been around for a while so they probably have the bugs worked out. This isn't vapor wear. Its worth a look:
