Looks like more people are taking advantage of something they know nothing about.
The latest application for the Jesus Phone apparently finds gas stations based on area code and reports them back with prices and directions. We completely support the development of new applications and encourage everyone to keep coding these things, but come on. Why not wait for the damn thing to come out first?
Makes no sense.

Makes perfect sense to me. Because these "aps" run on Safari, folks can write them and try 'em out on their home 'puters. So when the iPhone comes out, they can load 'em up with these aps. Why wait 'till it's released to develop? That makes no sense to me.
iphone is running on a striped down version of Safari. The application most likely will run differently on the iphone. Why not wait til the actual platform is ready before designing apps?
The developers are figuring this stuff out to write the most basic code for these tiny aps. It's a thing of beauty to me. The thought is that you won't need to fill up your iPhone's memory for these things. You just have the ap bookmarked, go to the page, and then can disconnect from the network and use it. Slick.
