Ushers Use Night-Vision Goggles To Bust Movie Pirates

Maybe it's to keep flashlights out of the eyes of innocent moviegoers or perhaps it's because they just like sweet gadgets, Malaysian ushers are beginning to use night-vision goggles to spot pirates.

The Motion Picture Association of America have provided the Malaysian anti-pirate army night-vision goggles to hunt and capture pirates. And it has already proved their usefulness in 17 cases in the past two months.

They've caught pirates trying to record Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Carribbean: When Will This Series End? Another ploy that they've used is to import dvd sniffing dogs (I didn't know there was such a thing) that busted over a half a million bootleg dvds?

Think Malaysia is a little uptight?

Read the rest after the jump.
