Terminator 4, 5, and 6 in the works

I kind of thought this franchise had run its course, but I guess not.

The Halcyon Company has bought out all rights to the Terminator franchise from Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna. Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson will co-produce a new series of films based on the character.

A script for TERMINATOR 4 by John Brancato and Michael Ferris has been written. It was designed to be the first leg in a trilogy. Moritz Borman will produce. T4 is planned as a summer 2009 release.

Borman told Variety, "With T3, we included many incidental details and plot points that, along with the main narrative, set the stage for an entirely new set of inter-related stories covering the future adventures of John Connor and the Terminators. This new Terminator trilogy will build upon the already huge worldwide Terminator fan base, which was both revitalized and expanded with the global success of T3."

I thought T3 wasn't very good, and now they're going to stretch this thing out?
Oh boy!!!
