Oh man... That is TOO COOL!
I remember going to an event at an Apple Store, and they had a DJ working with two Ipods, and something in the middle (I couldn't tell what it was) and boy the music sounded great, and it looked like what the DJ was doing was nearly effortless.
I hope this doesn't kill the skills that good DJs have to have. I would hate to see any Joe Blow off the street able to do what it takes a good DJ years to learn.
What, you mean like all the young folks have no idea how to get around a Window's computer without a mouse? Or how they look at a Command Prompt and freak out not knowing what to do?
Nelson, you're getting danngerously close to being the kind of old guy that says, "I remember when I was young, we had to walk to school, in our bare feet, in a blizzard, up a steep hill - Both Ways; AND WE LIKED IT!!!
Well Nelson, technolgy cannot help you to understand the importance of matching the BPM(beats per minute). When you mix LIVE it hard to fake.Yes DJ's now days have it easy with Free downloads,Mpegs instead of cretes on cretes of records. Now days you need a edge on being a good Dj for events like weddings.Cause people are saving $$$ buy just Putting there Ipod on shuffle.
I'm just saying that it takes skill to DJ, and I've heard my share of bad ones. I would hate for new tech to give the idea to people that anyone can be a good DJ.
I love new tech!!!
And I think everyone here knows that.
But just because you bought a computer and you know how to turn it on, doesn't make you a network administrator.
True Dat!!!!
Nelson, you know I'm just razzing you; and anyway, we went to school together all those years ago. We did have to walk to school, in our bare feet, in a blizzard, up a steep hill - Both Ways; AND HELL YES, WE LIKED IT!!!
