Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End = Paid in full

Unless you're living under a rock you know that Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End opened this weekend. And judging by the numbers, you might be the only one who didn't see it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End has broken the all time Memorial Day weekend record by pulling in 142.1 mil over the last four days. If you include Thursday’s 17 mil opening night, the total here in the states is at 156.1 mil.

The last record holder was X-Men: The Last Stand which took in 122.9 million in box office receipts. The record holder before that for a Memorial Day release was Jurassic Park: The Lost World which took in 90.1 mil back in 1997.

Not bad for a movie based off an annoying ride.
