I looked through the features; and it seems really great. I was wondering is the synthesis was true analog or if it was digital like the sampling. I have one friend who does music production; and he says that now, it easier to let a computer manage true analog sysnthsis rather than having a keyboard control everything; He says now the keyboards are far more based on Music production.

What say you Doc?

Yes.Fred your friend is correct.Almost all the new keyboards are basiclly a controlled digital sample.Alot of people live by there computer software with the addition of some "PLUG IN" software instead of relying on hardware.Plus you save $$$ and room!

Oh yes, I agree, my friend had SEVERAL music synths that reproduced analog sounds. If it weren't for his computer he would have had to put six or seven big old analog synths in a small room.

I remember when I owned a Roland Jupiter 8. Awesome analog synth;my buddy had bought a computer replica. On his scren all the switched, knobs, sliders etc were faithfully reproduced.

The digital aspect of music is wonderful; but there will always be room for the old anolog Prophet 5, Oberheim, etc. That's how newer music like NIN's Closer gets the cool analog sounds.

I sure wish I had a small keyboard that I could hook up to my computer with a large collection of software synths!!!
