Most newer ‘burbs today lack the homestead look with unsightly chain link fences, and this makes for a an improved view that evokes vast open spaces.

The only problem is when you have a pet. The poor dog has to be either tied up, or you have to have one of those expensive electronic fence.

RoamEO have devised a system that will let you use a customizable PDA-sized GPS unit to help you keep track of your hound. The initial release will let you locate up to three of your pets simultaneously within one mile in all directions, and will alert you if a pet leaves the perimeter. The next generation will include a shock/voice command collar if the animal hits the boundary.
