What I'm waiting for is the U.S. version of this group, and head straight for Chicago ASAP!!!
It seems that a group calling themselves M.A.D. or Motorists Against Detection is causing quite a issue over the pond. They have set many traffic cameras ablaze all in an effort to rid the UK of any detection cameras. They've been active since 2000, and claim to have destroyed over 1000 roadside cameras. Well they claim to want to step it up a notch. Check the quote from Capt. Gatso:
"The vigilante anti-speed camera group have announced a summer of MADness which will see them target for destruction all speed cameras in the UK. It's now going to be a period of zero tolerance against all speed cameras."
There's nothing like pissed off drivers, destroying traffic cameras! They even plan a "National Cover-Up Your Number Plates Day."
I'm liking the U.K. more and more these days.

We here in our small town north of Indianapolis have MULTIPLE cameras taking different shots of the same general area. Now multiply that by the whole intersection.
Every intersection in my county has three to four cameras shooting each side of an intersection.
If you run a red light; their automated system mails you a ticket. (yes they even have license plate angle cameras in all directions so they know who you are, and whether you've been naughty or nice!
It builds an argument for holograms. That's the only way to send a single-fingered salute to all of those cameras at the same time.
