'Highlander: The Source' Hits Sci-Fi Channel In September

I've been a fan of the "Highlander" series since the first movie. I mean, there is something to be said about guys (and girls) fighting with swords only to end with one of them with there head cut off. And in the 90's, Adrian Paul (Duncan MacLeod) took over the franchise as the new MacLeod. And I was surprised that not only was he a decent actor, but a very good Martial Artist.

So it pleases me that a new movie, 'Highlander: The Source' was created that is going straight to TV (Sci-Fi) on September 15, 2007 at 9:00/8:00 CST. According to Mania:

"Plot Summary: 10-15 years after the death of Connor MacLeod in Highlander: Endgame, the world is falling into chaos. MacLeod is drawn in a quest with Methos, Reggie and Giovanni to find the source, the mythical origins of their immortality. Along the way, they are joined by Anna and stalked by the seemingly unstoppable Guardian."

Thanks to Jakester, and Mania for this information.

  1. Like Will Ferral said in Talladega night.

    Highlander won the oscar:

    Why?

Only cause it was the best movie EVER.

  2. Alas, this one isn't likely to get near the quality of either the first film or the series. Not if the Russian version is anything to go by, from what I've heard. There has been a good deal of editing since, but it's not a good sign that now they decide not to let it go to theatres, after all. Ye gods, even the actors and the head writer of the series look gloomy about it! Poor folks. A lot of talent wasted again.
