Dell's Display Port Prototype Will Allow for Resolutions 4x Better Than HD

Check out Dell's new sexy LCD display. It measures about half an inch thick and packs a resolution that's 4x sharper than the current HDTV resolutions. It's part of Dell's new Display Port technology.

It will allow you to daisychain multiple monitors and connect other peripherals via one bi-directional cable. It can be used with notebook displays, and it is due out later this year.

And if this is a sign of what's to come, I can't wait!!!

Check it out after the jump.

Do you see that friggin huge wire/hose thing attached to the unit? I wouldn't want something that unsightly in my house. (let it be known I live in a condo, and I can't put wire/hose things in my wall.)

How does one get around that?
